How does the first visit work?
You book online or call. We confirm a time by text. Your Tech Buddy arrives on time, in a clean shirt, with ID. We sit with you, solve your main issue, and write down simple steps you can keep. The first visit is $20 — paid after, not before.
What if my problem takes longer than an hour?
We'll always tell you before the time is up. You can choose to stop, or continue at our regular per-visit rate. No surprise bills, ever.
Is the $120/month Unlimited plan really unlimited?
Yes. You can have as many in-home visits as you need each month, scheduled based on our availability. Most members use it 1–2 times per week. Cancel anytime — no contract.
How do you accept payment?
Card, Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check. Whatever's easiest for you. You only pay after the visit.
Are your Tech Buddies background-checked?
Yes. Every Tech Buddy is background-checked before they ever enter a customer's home. We can share our policy on request.
I'm worried about scams. How do I know you're real?
Great question — we love it. You can: (1) call our local Mansfield number, (2) ask for our background-check confirmation, (3) ask a neighbor — we work in 55+ communities here, (4) pay only after the visit, (5) we never ask for your bank login or "remote access" passwords.
Can my son or daughter book and pay for me?
Yes! Many of our bookings come from adult children. They can pay for the visit and even receive a short text update afterwards, so they know the visit went well.
What areas do you serve?
Mansfield, TX is our home base. We also serve Arlington, Kennedale, Burleson, Cedar Hill, Midlothian, and Grand Prairie. Outside that area? Call us — we can sometimes make it work.
Do you fix broken screens or hardware?
No — we don't replace screens or do board-level repair. But we'll happily come over, look at it, and recommend the best (and cheapest) place to get it repaired.
Can you help over the phone?
Unlimited members get free phone and text support between visits. For first-time customers, we usually need to come in person — it's much faster than describing things over the phone.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation if you let us know at least 2 hours before your visit. For the monthly plan, cancel anytime — we'll refund any unused weeks of the current month.
Do you sell my data or sign me up for anything?
Never. We use your info only to schedule and confirm your visit. We don't sell to anyone, and we won't sign you up for newsletters you didn't ask for.
Will you make me feel embarrassed about how little I know?
Absolutely not — that's the whole reason Tech Buddy exists. There are no dumb questions here. We slow down, explain in plain English, and let you ask the same thing five times if you need to.
